Palo Santo is located in Palermo, one of the largest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. The area is divided in several sub-areas, mainly: Palermo Hollywood, Bosques de Palermo (Palermo Parks), Palermo Soho and Palermo Chico.
Palermo Hollywood
Palermo Hollywood, where Palo Santo is located, was named that way after the numerous TV and advertising studios working there.
The district is undergoing a deep transformation, shifting from a traditional area with small houses and old trees, towards a cool, modern quarter with great lifestyle. One can still sense the contrast between the slow-paced residential streets and the dynamic nightlife and culinary offer.

Bosques de Palermo
Carlos Thays is the French architect responsible for the parks of Palermo (called in Spanish Bosques de Palermo). He also decided to plant the plane trees in Palermo Hollywood’s streets.
Bosques de Palermo are just at a 15 minutes walk of Palo Santo Hotel. Borrow one of our vintage bikes to stroll through the parks and mingle with Buenos Aires’ joggers and families. The rose garden and Japanese garden are must-sees on sunny days and during spring (September-December).
Palermo Soho
The Soho is indeed the most bohemian part of Palermo. There you will find clothing and decorations shops, and some nice cafés. At night, the area attracts a younger, louder crowd, with many night bars and outdoors seating.
You can easily walk from Palo Santo to Palermo Soho in 10 to 15 minutes. Plaza Serrano, the heart of Palermo Soho, is just 1.600 meter / 1 mile away.
Distance to other touristic areas
- The city banking district and some tourist spots such as Plaza de Mayo and the Obelisk are located at an easy 20 minutes subway ride. The subway station is located 5 block away from the hotel (5 to 10 minutes walk).
- Recoleta Cemetery and Plaza Francia: 15 minutes by taxi
- San Telmo: 30 minutes by taxi
